Blood Donation Camp

Blood donation camps were conducted for two days at the Encora Campus by the Make a difference team. These camps was organized by the Rotary Club and Lions Blood Bank at the campus on 27th & 30th June 2008 respectively.

Underlining the importance of Blood Donation there was active participation from the employees for this event. A total of 51 employees donated their blood. The employees who volunteered for the camp and donated blood were lauded for their efforts and were presented with appreciation certificates for the event.

To put this event to more practice the Make a difference team is planning to have such camps on a regular basis throughout each year to promote the importance of Blood Donation among the employees.

Spastic Paralysis -An Awareness Programme in collaboration with Spastics Society of Karnataka

Mr. Chari from the Spastics Society of Karnataka (SSK) addressed a gathering at the main conference room at Encora, talking about the amazing work done by SSK to rehabilitate children and adults suffering from spastic disorders (disorders of the neural system), creating awareness among Encorites and explaining different ways in which the public can help this noble cause. This presentation was held on 11th June 2008

Eye Donation Pledge Campaign

Eye donation pledge campaign was the inaugural activity of Make-ADifference club, it was conducted in the Encora campus on the 19th February 2008. Dr. Himanshu from Narayana Nethralaya was at the addressing the gathering to explain the benefits and importance of pledging the cornea of the eye prior to the demise of any person.

Eye-4-Eye was one of the campaigns Dr. Himanshu is pursuing to ensure there are enough corneas to all the blind people in India

About 50 Employees of Encora have taken pledge to donate their eyes on that day and they have filled the pledge donation form.
